Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) is excited to celebrate our talented students and staff members who have been recognized by The Daughters of the American Revolution, also known as DAR. These individuals have been honored as outstanding American history students or outstanding American history teachers, and one student is the Flag of the United States of America contest winner.
“I would like to thank the Daughters of the American Revolution for partnering with Virginia Beach City Public Schools to honor our outstanding American History students and teachers,” said Superintendent Aaron Spence. “While we have not been able to celebrate in person this year, I hope they feel a great sense of accomplishment, and I am delighted to recognize them.”
The students honored with these recognitions have not only excelled in the classroom but are outstanding examples of responsible and engaged citizens.
The awarded teachers work to inspire the students of VBCPS students daily. Their love of history and consistent enthusiasm in the classroom encourage students to do great things while fostering their love for their education, history and our nation.
We are happy to recognize our 2021 DAR award winners.
