There’s a new middle school in Virginia Beach that is doing its best to “rally” around its students. Under the direction of Bayside 6’s Student Recognition Committee and the school’s guidance counselor Robert Lanz, the Bayside 6 staff is taking time to celebrate all the good things students are doing.

At the end of each quarter, select students and staff participate in a Raider Rally. Zero referrals for the quarter is your ticket into the rally and getting into the rally is the best part. Students are met in the hallway by cheering staff members ready to give high-fives, fist bumps, and hugs to the students.

But the celebration does not stop there. Once inside, students enjoy games and special treats during this special recognition event.
