The Advanced Technology Center (ATC) was recognized by Virginia Living magazine as one of Virginia’s Top High Schools and Colleges in 2014.
The magazine’s brief on the ATC focused on the school’s robot-in-residence, Baxter, and its ability to teach students how to program machines and write necessary codes. VBCPS is the first K-12 school division in the country to purchase such a robot.

The school was featured in the magazine’s annual “State of Education” edition. The magazine is still available on stands now.
