Administration does not and will not call for lowering the standards of expectations for students. The use of positive behavioral strategies and supports does not ignore poor behavior, but looks to identify solutions and interventions as opposed to relying on a blanket solution of referrals and suspension. This is necessary after considering the data shows that, with several offenses, referrals and suspensions alone do not stop students’ poor behavior.
