Fifth-grade students will get a sneak peek of sixth-grade when middle school guidance counselors visit elementary schools this semester to discuss course registration. In conjunction with those visits, middle schools are hosting information nights for rising sixth-graders and their parents/guardians to provide an overview of the sixth-grade academic program.
Several middle schools hosted their open houses in December. The remaining middle schools will host events for rising sixth graders and their families on the following dates and times:
Bayside Sixth Grade Campus – Wednesday, Jan. 7, 6-7 p.m.
Brandon Middle – Wednesday, Jan. 7, 6:30-8 p.m.
Corporate Landing Middle – Tuesday, Jan. 13, 6-7:30 p.m.
Kempsville Middle – Wednesday, Jan. 7, 6-8 p.m.
Landstown Middle – Thursday, Jan. 15, 6-8 p.m.
Plaza Middle – Tuesday, Jan. 13, 6:30-8 p.m.
Princess Anne Middle – Tuesday, Jan. 13, 6-7 p.m.
Salem Middle – Tuesday, Jan. 6, 6-7 p.m.
In addition to these events for rising sixth-graders, Bayside Middle School will host an information night for rising seventh-graders on Wednesday, Jan. 14 from 6-7:15 p.m.
Middle schools also host open houses for rising sixth-graders during the spring and summer to give students another opportunity to visit the school and prepare for the transition to middle school. When scheduled, the dates and times for those events will be posted on this open houses page on vbschools.com.
Parents with questions about the events scheduled in January should contact the middle school hosting the information night.
This is awesome! It is so easy to find dates and times. Thanks for posting!
