Landstown High’s school store, Eagles Landing, has received a new well-earned decoration to hang on the walls.
The store was one of 316 school-based enterprises in the country that achieved DECA’s Gold Level Certification (or Gold Level Re-certification) this year and will be recognized at DECA’s International Career.
According to a DECA press release, DECA’s School-based Enterprise (SBEs) Certification Program was developed to provide recognition for outstanding achievement by school-based enterprises and to motivate SBEs to strive for excellence and growth. In order to apply for the certification, SBEs must submit extensive documentation that demonstrates their adherence to various marketing and retail standards.
Eagles Landing has been operating at Landstown for 15 years. Students Corbin Conover, Logan Callahan and Andrew Ferris worked on the certification application with the assistance of their adviser Ann King.
