Real Life Church helped Diamond Springs Elementary School with a garden/courtyard service project.
Church members donated their time, funds and manpower. The project engaged students, teachers and community members in the creation and maintenance of a sustainable garden and functional courtyard on school grounds.
“This initiative aims to promote environmental awareness, healthy eating habits, and hands-on learning opportunities across the curriculum while fostering teamwork and responsibility,” said Amber Bush, the school’s instructional technology specialist.
The school community provided mulch, soil, plants, bird feeders, educational equipment, tools and a shed. Church members came out April 5, along with members of the school’s teacher garden club, The Busy B’s, to help clean up, mulch and set up compost bins and furniture.
