The school division launched its Digital Learning Anchor School initiative this year to study best practices in digital learning and device implementation.
Since September, the following 11 schools have been utilizing and reviewing how a variety of digital resources engage students and staff as well as increase flexibility with respect to when and how learning occurs:
- Bayside High School
- Corporate Landing Middle School
- Great Neck Middle School
- Green Run High School
- Kempsville High School
- Kingston Elementary School
- Newtown Elementary School
- Rosemont Elementary School
- Strawbridge Elementary School
- Tallwood Elementary School
- Thoroughgood Elementary School
Students and staff in this cadre of schools will share examples of their work as well as lessons learned at the Digital Anchor School Showcase April 20, from 5:30-7 p.m. at Great Neck Middle School. Following an opening session with remarks from Superintendent Aaron Spence, attendees will have the opportunity to visit exhibits from each school. The event is free and open to the public.
