More than 30 Landstown High School Governor’s STEM & Technology Academy STEM Engineering seniors went to Virginia Commonwealth University for a tour of the School of Engineering. Frank Gupton, Ph.D., chair and professor in the Department of Chemical and Life Science Engineering, met with the students to present an overview of the department, on-going research opportunities, and curriculum.
The students visited the lab of Dr. Christina Tang, assistant professor, where they were able to discuss her current research with fat cells.
