The school division’s Office of Technical and Career Education (TCE) presented its annual educator and credentialing awards April 2 at the Advanced Technical Center.
Congratulations to the following teachers and counselors:
TCE Middle School Teacher of the Year: Karen Franklin, business teacher, Corporate Landing Middle School
TCE High School Teacher of the Year: Heather Prince, financial management and computer information systems teacher, Green High School
TCE Middle School Counselor of the Year: Cindy Dull, Corporate Landing Middle School
TCE High School Counselor of the Year: Victoria Thompson, Kempsville High School

Largest percentage increase in industry credentials earned: Renaissance Academy (22 percent overall)
Largest number of workplace readiness skills earned at a TCE center: Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center (374)
Largest number of workplace readiness credentials earned by a comprehensive high school: Landstown High School (260)
