Please note: This article was revised May 23 to reflect updates to the Web Store registration deadline and high school onsite registration dates.
Beginning May 29, parents/guardians who are Virginia Beach residents may register students for middle school and high school summer school courses offered face-to-face at select sites. Registration and payment for courses will be processed online through the VBCPS Web Store through June 26 at noon.
On-site registration for face-to-face courses also will be offered at summer school sites on the following dates:
- High school courses: Tuesday, June 19 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 20 from 8 a.m. to noon
- Middle school courses: Tuesday, June 19 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday, June 20 from 8 a.m. to noon
To ensure enrollment in appropriate courses, it is recommended that parents/guardians contact their child’s school counselor to confirm the student’s eligibility to enroll in a summer school course. This includes current eighth-grade students who are rising ninth-graders who want to enroll in a high school course offered in summer school.
For more information about summer school sites, classes offered and session dates, visit the Summer School webpage on vbschools.com. There, information is also available about online courses offered through the Virginia Beach Digital Campus.
