The summer STARTALK program is back in action at Christopher Farms Elementary School.
This program is funded by a federal grant and provides intensive summer instruction in critical languages such as Mandarin Chinese. Also during the program, students get to have hands-on experiences, including learning brush painting and Tai Chi. Here at VBCPS, this is the fifth year with the program, and the first year to have an Advanced class, drawn from last summer’s participants.
Additionally, the school hosts a month-long after school series of post-sessions in January and February to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Check out more photos of the summer program on our Facebook page.
