School’s not quite out for summer

Whether you’re looking to get ahead or try your hand at a class one more time, the time to register for online summer school classes is almost here.

The online summer school course offerings have been posted, and students can apply starting Wednesday, May 1.

All online summer school courses are considered to be year-long, which mean they last the entire summer school session – from June 26 through Aug. 9. All online courses address the same content as their traditional face-to-face versions but are delivered over the internet through a learning management system.

For more information, including financial information and how you can register, visit www.vbschools.com/distance/SummerSchool.asp#pay

In addition, in-school summer school classes will be available for registration on June 18 and June 19. Stay tuned for more information on those class offerings.

  1. There is not enough spots for summer online PE class(1), can City open an additional class, please?! Thanks.

  2. Within 1 week and all classes for PE II are filled? Can an additional class be added especially when the online classes are the most popular. I couldnt believe that they could all be filled this fast! If there is a waiting list I have 2 rising 10th graders that would like the opportunity. Thank You.

    • Good morning,

Unfortunately they are restricted by allocations as to how many courses they can offer. I will forward your information on to the department of Curriculum & Instruction in case they do have a waiting list.
