Luxford Elementary School hosted its first of a monthly family engagement activity, “Family Reading-Running Day.” The premise is simple: Once a month parents are invited to come to school to read with their child. Then, parents are asked to stay and run with their child during his/her P.E. block. Taking part in the first Family Reading-Running Day is third-grader Alex Nim and his mother, Michelle, reading together.
