“Hard to believe! The start of the 2015-2016 school year is almost here,” writes Parent Connection guest columnist Susan Tolley.
“After a summer that probably alternated between stretches of go-go-go and periods of pure, delightful sluggishness,” adds Tolley, “it is time to get children ready for back to school.”
Tolley, who served as an elementary school teacher, assistant principal, principal and central office administrator, speaks nationally and internationally to school divisions about the importance of building relationships.
Her Parent Connection guest column describes six steps she believes lead to a positive and successful return to school – put them to bed, feed them, dress them, and put them on the bus as well as get yourself ready and celebrate.
