Bayside Health Sciences Academy took this year’s Virginia Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) State Leadership Conference by storm. This year, the HOSA Team competed in 28 events and placed in the top five in 24 of those events. Team Bayside finished the conference with 13 State Champions, 19 second place award winners and five third-place state finalists culminating in an unprecedented 37 students qualifying for HOSA Nationals in California.
As a team, Bayside HOSA was also recognized as having the most members in the state and earning the distinction of Virginia Outstanding HOSA Chapter. In addition, Bayside’s Kennedy Radix was voted the Virginia HOSA State President for next year.
Bayside’s HOSA team was also recognized for their support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by raising more than $800 and earned the “Exemplary Service Award” for Outstanding Community Service throughout the year.
