Each day, 15 students at Kellam High School make themselves available for classmates and fellow students to serve as peer tutors. In its second year, the Peer Tutoring Center at Kellam has made a great impact on the school, offering leadership opportunities for participating students as well as giving students an easy and accessible way to get assistance with a subject or concept that they are struggling with.
Supported by a Virginia Beach Education Foundation innovation grant, the peer tutoring center has become a model for other high schools in the division. Learn more about the center below.
