The recent Something in the Water Festival turned out to be a huge success for Virginia Beach, and in particular for Virginia Beach City Public Schools since Pharrell Williams is a graduate of Princess Anne High School. The school division partnered with him, festival organizers and the city on so many aspects of the event. The week leading up to the festival epitomized our school division’s core value of doing great work together – something which was clearly evident as our music instructors and students delivered a fantastic Battle of the Bands performance, as we celebrated the garden expansion at Seatack Elementary School An Achievable Dream Academy, and as our bus drivers safely transported attendees.
