A love for students is the driving force behind Ann Bernard.
When Ann Bernard started driving a school bus for VBCPS, the school division looked a lot different than it does today. There were no academies, no charter schools, no gifted programs. In fact, when she drove her first route, there were only 36 schools, 50 fewer than today.
Bernard is all about safety. Now in her 47th year of driving, she has not had one single preventive crash.
She has transported thousands of students over the years and currently drives students with special needs each day. Listen more as Bernard shares how her students have claimed a special place in her heart.
Only one word is necessary to capture the essence of Ann- “Priceless.”
Awesome job Miss Ann! Wishing you many more years behind the wheel!
