Virginia Beach City Public Schools’ 21st annual school report cards, called Campus Compass, are now available on vbschools.com. These report cards provide a snapshot of each school’s demographics and share progress that students are making toward achieving various local and state accountability measures.
For example, the report cards provide information about the percentage of students reading on grade level and results from various assessments. School report cards also include data on college readiness benchmarks, school climate perceptions and a multitude of other measures.
The Annual Report Cards were redesigned in 2016 and are aligned to the four goals in the school division’s strategic framework, Compass to 2020:
- high academic expectations;
- multiple pathways for students;
- social-emotional development; and a
- culture of growth and excellence.
These goals serve as a guide for teaching and learning across the division. They were developed to ensure that every child is challenged and supported to reach his or her full potential.
