The Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) Annual Student Art Show currently exhibited at Pembroke Mall features visual art created by students in grades K-12. The elementary school exhibit concluded May 9, and middle and high school student artwork will be displayed through June 1.
“The exhibit is produced each spring as a celebration of student artwork. It also serves to inform students, teachers, parents and members of the community about the diverse subjects, styles, media, techniques and expressions available to art students,” said Anne Wolcott, VBCPS fine arts coordinator.
Art teachers select pieces to be in the show, and high school student artwork is judged and eligible to win ribbons for creative talent in five categories.
The exhibit is open to the public and displayed in the Old Navy Wing of Pembroke Mall.
