Two Woodstock teachers accepted to 2016 Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy

Congratulations to Woodstock Elementary School teachers Stephanie Wyman and Cherie Brogan for their selection to the 2016 Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy. They are two of six teachers selected from Virginia and 154 teachers selected nationwide.

According to the academy’s website, the program is “a weeklong, all-expense-paid, professional development program for third- through fifth-grade teachers that equips them with innovative ways to teach science and math and inspire their students in these critical subjects.”

Launched in 2005, this summer will be the 12th session of the Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy developed by professional golfer Phil Mickelson and his wife Amy, ExxonMobil, the National Science Teachers Association and Math Solutions.

  1. I am very proud of Stephanie and Cherie for pursuing this opportunity. The students in their class and at Woodstock ES will benefit from the knowledge and skills these two teacher leaders will bring back.

  2. We are thrilled that our Woodstock team will be able to reap the knowledge of this opportunity for Mrs. Wyman and Mrs. Brogan.
