The National Association for Pupil Transportation (NAPT) has certified Diane Stewart as a Certified Supervisor of Pupil Transportation (CSPT).

Stewart, a transportation area supervisor for Virginia Beach, was subject to an objective peer review of her education, career experience and achievement in the field of pupil transportation operations as well as a rigorous job-specific written examination that tests knowledge of national standards for safe and efficient pupil transportation.

A Certified Supervisor of Pupil Transportation must have the ability to carry out policy and program directives. Supervisors are expected to administer programs, provide leadership and engage in the development of materials within limitations established by their management.

Stewart is now entitled to use the professional designation CSPT on all professional correspondence and is only the 51^st person in the United States and Canada to achieve this recognition.
