At its Feb. 16 meeting, the School Board voted to approve a 181-instructional day calendar for the 2016-17 school year. As part of this calendar, there are also two and a half days of professional learning embedded for teachers and staff.

With the adoption of this school calendar, Superintendent Dr. Aaron Spence set the makeup calendar (in case of inclement weather). The first through third inclement weather days requiring school cancellation will be made up using the following staff days and holidays:

• 30, Staff Day
• 20, Presidents’ Day
• April 7, Staff Day would be extended to a full day

Make up time for the fifth missed day and beyond would add minutes to the school day or add days at the end of the school year.
