For the past eight years, Landstown High School: Governor’s STEM & Technology Academy has enjoyed a wonderful partnership with the Rotary Club of Hampton Roads. That relationship has led to a host of RCHR contributions – both monetarily and in volunteer hours – devoted to the students on Concert Drive. Programs benefitting from the assistance of the club’s 66 members include, among others, Landstown’s annual student leadership workshop, the school’s STEM and technology programs and participation in its DECA and Interact Clubs.

Last month, the Landstown faculty was treated to breakfast by the club as it concluded its weekly business meeting. At the meeting, President Theresa Bryant, workforce development director at Tidewater Community College, presented awards for community service to 2014 Landstown Teacher of the Year Ann King as well as 2010 LHS Teacher of the Year Debbie Myers.
In addition, the club also named Principal Brian Matney a Paul Harris Fellow for his continued donation to the Rotary Club.
