Barefoot earns top TCE teacher honor

Kudos to Jason Barefoot for receiving the Technical and Career Education High School Teacher of the Year Award. This honor is bestowed upon educators who demonstrate leadership, innovation and community involvement.

Applicants must be a member of a career and technical professional organization, participate in a live interview with the selection panel, and are required to writing a brief essay highlighting how they help promote technical and career education.

As the winner of this prestigious award, Barefoot will get to attend the National ACTE (Association for Career and Technical Education) Conference in Las Vegas next year.

  1. I had the privilege of serving as Jason’s principal during my tenure at Salem HS. Coach/Mr. Barefoot was/is team-oriented, very positive, and focused on providing his students with the best possible learning experience. Jason comes from a proud family whose legacy of making a difference in the PA community has spanned 40+ years. Congratulations Jason, well deserved!
