While the holiday season is filled with much joy and celebration, it can also be a stressful time for many families and students. Even though schools are not in session, there is help for students in need of help during the holiday break.
Families in need of assistance – or those who are concerned for others – can reach out directly to the City of Virginia Beach’s 24-hour emergency services hotline at 385-0888.
As a reminder, Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) also offers a wide array of services to help meet the social and emotional needs of students as well. For students who are in crisis, members from the Office of Student Support Services are readily available to provide counseling support at each school. Families are always encouraged to reach out directly to their school’s counseling office for any needed materials, resources and support for their child.
