It’s good to have a purpose; it’s even better to have one that inspires happiness and smiles.
At least, that’s the philosphy Princess Anne High School junior Erin Ashley Bryant and her fellow Optimist Club members have embraced. And their optimistic attitude about making a difference in the lives of those around them certainly isn’t cavalier.
Recently, Princess Anne Optimist Club members treated their special education partner-students from the Special Education West Building to an egg hunt in honor of spring. Club members hid eggs, then handed out collection bags to the excited hunt participants. At the signal, a feverish search ensued for the colored plastic eggs with a surprise inside. Even the West Building teachers, assistants and administrators jumped into the fun.
Kudos to the Optimist Club for hosting the Easter Egg Hunt. Our students had a great time and enjoyed the camaraderie of their peers. A special thanks to Mrs. Linda Miller, club sponsor, as well for going the extra mile to assure that the activity was organized and fun-filled for all.
