The Eighth Annual African-American Male Summit is back this year and parents are invited to once again take part in the fun. While students are attending their own workshops during the summit, parents can attend the Parent Institute. This is a series of breakout sessions tailored to address specific topics of parent concern, including college and career readiness as well as guidance services.

The summit will take place Saturday, Jan. 10, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Tallwood High School. If you are interested in attending, or have questions about the event, contact the Office of Equity Affairs at 757-263-6964.
