This year’s third Beach Girls Rock! workshop will take place Saturday, April 25 at Landstown High School. The theme of the event will be “Science and Technology” and Victoria Jackson, a policy analyst for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security for the U.S. Department of State will serve as the day’s keynote speaker.
In her role, Jackson, a Landstown alumna, coordinates a variety of security related policies that are implemented within U.S. embassies and missions throughout the world. In addition, Jackson also previously served as a “Pathways Intern” for the department, where she supported the coordination of policies related to security infrastructure and cyber security.
Beach Girls Rock! will begin at 8 a.m., and eighth- and ninth-grade female students can register for the workshop at their guidance office.
As always, parents are encouraged to attend any Beach Girls Rock! workshop. There are specific breakout sessions for parents to attend, which address questions and highlight various support services available to VBCPS parents.
For more information about any of the sessions, please contact Jobynia Caldwell at Jobynia.caldwell@vbschools.com or by calling 757-263-6964.
Great! One if my son’s childhood friends.
