Each month, Superintendent Aaron Spence highlights one Compass Keeper for a special video edition of the Compass Keepers Club. The end product is then presented to the School Board during the Superintendent’s Report given at the second School Board Meeting of the month.
Jonathan Steiner, a 2014 graduate of First Colonial High School (FCHS), managed to earn nine nationally recognized certifications during the three years he spent at the Advanced Technology Center (ATC). In his senior year, Jonathan advanced to the second year of the ATC Cisco Networking Academy in which he achieved the Cisco Certified Network Associate in just one year of this two year program.
In addition to earning certifications after certifications, Jonathan has been on the honor roll since third-grade and completed an internship at the Navy Exchange Command as a Site Designer in his junior year. Somehow, Steiner also found time to play football and was named captain of the FCHS football team. Steiner will be attending Ohio University as he was accepted into the Warren J. Maclure School of Information and Telecommunications Systems. To see more of Steiner’s story, watch the video below.
