Donna Chapa has been teaching Science at Princess Anne Middle School for 14 years. For the past five years, she has enthusiastically embraced technology while flipping her classroom. A flipped classroom is a form of learning in which students learn content online by watching videos at home and then work collaboratively in class to solve questions. Students are doing hands-on work with laptops and other devices as they learn earth and physical science.
This is awesome!! What an amazing way to get kids excited about learning. I feel if more teachers were to be like this, we would actually have a shot for the future.
How innovative and interesting. What made you think of doing this? I am right there with you. We have got to shake up the system and make it fresh if we’re going to have any chance of keeping this generation interested in being educated. Keep up the great work!
