Representatives from more than 150 colleges, universities, proprietary schools and the military will be present at Virginia Beach City Public Schools’ (VBCPS) College Information Night Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.
Students and parents are invited to the free event to visit exhibits and learn about postgraduate education options, programs of study, admission requirements and student life. In addition to speaking with representatives, participants may attend one of two financial aid seminars scheduled for 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
College Information Night is sponsored by the division’s Office of Guidance Services and Student Records. The office also maintains Scholarship Central, an online resource for high school students to review scholarship websites and search a database of scholarship opportunities submitted to the Office of Guidance Services and Student Records. Scholarship Central is updated regularly throughout the school year.
