Bayside High School students John Hilbert, Jayla Wright, Chaz Perriera, Karla Mendez and staff, Jennifer Lanz, represented the Bayside High School Health and Science Academy as leaders in the Student to Student mentoring program at the National Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) conference at Norfolk Marriot Waterside.

These students were the only students that presented and spoke to advisors, grant administrators and educators for the entire three-day conference. The students were highlighting their efforts in welcoming transfer students and military connected families to Bayside. They shared their program of work and benefits of participating in the program as a mentee and as mentor.
