A drainage ditch with trash and a film of oil proved to be the most shocking find when Carla Morris’s seventh-grade science students inspected the grounds at Bayside Middle School.
In the Teen Environmental Awareness project, Morris’s students used ipads to photograph items such as plant and animal life as well as pollution. They will use their findings in a portfolio that they will build all year on environmental issues and the Chesapeake Bay.
This is a great what this teacher is doing for these students. Letting them know that learning is also outside of the classroom.
