Bayside’s Future Educators Association (FEA) participated in the National FEA Competition/Conference. In addition to attending informative, engaging, and interactive sessions and hearing from two different inspirational speakers (including the National Teacher of the Year, Sean McComb), students competed in four different competitions.
The Ethical Dilemma team consisting of Daja Askew, Joselyn Harris, Summer Randels, and Susan Wozniel brought home first place in the nation.
In addition to these national champions, Bayside had three top 10 finishers as well: Rico Terrell in Creative Lecture/Ted Talk; Colby Batkins in Public Speaking; and Morgan Scott in STEM Lesson Plan & Delivery.
While in Washington, the students and advisor Meg Manugo were able to play tourist and rode the metro to see some of the monuments and the White House.
All the hard work and dedication paid off. Great job!
