Maker What? More and more, schools are using makerspaces in the school day’s activities. These are spaces for students to problem-solve, craft, create, communicate and showcase their creative and critical thinking skills. Staff members incorporate aspects of the class’s curriculum to the makerspace to help bring lessons to life.
At Old Donation School, students were tasked with a particularly spooky maker challenge where they had to create a Halloween-themed object like an alien, monster, robot or animal out of the materials they were provided. Check out just a few of the students’ creations below:
