No school? We’ve got your back! Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) is committed to providing students with the necessities when it comes to learning, regardless of whether that\u2019s in the classroom or at home. And that includes providing breakfast and lunch during weekdays.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, March 17, food services staff were set up and ready to serve at 37 schools for the first day of \u201cdrive by and pick up\u201d meals. Congresswoman Elaine Luria was on hand at Green Run High School to observe how the food was packed and distributed.<\/p>\n

More than 4000 meals were handed out to families that day, with nearly double that on the second day. VBCPS added five neighborhoods to its distribution list, where school buses are delivering meals to families.<\/p>\n

VBCPS is also offering Chromebook exchange for broken devices at the schools where food distribution is offered. Please wipe the device with a disinfectant and bring the device and charger to one of those school sites between 9 a.m. and noon, Monday through Friday. A VBCPS employee will inventory the broken device and provide a replacement.<\/p>\n
