Whether a student plans to attend college, seek an apprenticeship, join the military or begin work right after high school, VBCPS provides opportunities to support every student&#8217;s career dream,&#8221; said Dr. Sara Lockett, director of the Office of Technical and Career Education.<\/p>\n<p>At the signing ceremony, students from the Virginia Beach Technical and Career Education Center, the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) and their future employers signed letters of intent, specifying their commitment to full-time employment related to the technical and career courses completed and industry credentials earned while in high school. Some students received Post-9\/11 GI Bill education benefits and signing bonuses.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/pic-2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9068 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/pic-2-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"alt=&quot;&quot;\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/pic-2-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/pic-2-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/pic-2-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/pic-2-1-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ten programs were represented at the event, ranging from auto body to cosmetology to welding to practical nursing to cyber security system technology.
