\u201c\u2018Real\u2019 because it\u2019s a wake-up call,\u201d said the Tallwood senior class president, \u201cand it\u2019s \u2018rewarding\u2019 to know that with all that you\u2019ve done these past four years, you get to take it on to take a different step and a different path. It\u2019s just nice to know that it leads to a bunch of excitement and I can\u2019t wait for that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Excitement and celebration are in store for all graduating seniors and their families June 13-17 as Virginia Beach City Public Schools hosts commencement exercises for its 11 comprehensive high schools, Renaissance Academy and Green Run Collegiate.<\/p>\n

The schedule of ceremonies held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center is as follows:<\/p>\n

Tuesday, June 13<\/strong><\/p>\n

1:30 p.m. Bayside High School<\/p>\n

4 p.m. Green Run Collegiate<\/p>\n

6:30 p.m. Green Run High School<\/p>\n

Wednesday, June 14<\/strong><\/p>\n

1:30 p.m. Kempsville High School<\/p>\n

5:30 p.m. Salem High School<\/p>\n

Thursday, June 15<\/strong><\/p>\n

1:30 p.m. Tallwood High School<\/p>\n

5:30 p.m. First Colonial High School<\/p>\n

Those who cannot attend a ceremony in person can still have a front row seat to the excitement. Graduation ceremonies for the 11 comprehensive high schools will be live streamed on the division\u2019s website at www.vbschools.com\/vbcpsgrad<\/a>. Video replays of all 13 ceremonies will be available to view on the division\u2019s graduation webpage<\/a> and its YouTube channel<\/a>. In addition, Virginia Beach Television (VBTV) will rebroadcast all high school graduation ceremonies as well as the Adult Learning Center\u2019s GED recognition ceremony on cable channel 46 and has DVD video packages available for purchase. The VBTV rebroadcast schedule and DVD order form are available on this graduation video flyer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Families, friends and community members can also celebrate the Class of 2017 by posting a congratulatory message on VBGradwall<\/em>.
