For Carden Williams, the choice was easy.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo you want the side that has \u2018Class of 2030\u2019 or \u2018Ready for Kindergarten?\u2019\u201d asked the photographer.<\/p>\n

\u201cReady for Kindergarten!\u201d he remarked without hesitation.<\/p>\n

His enthusiasm was shared by\u00a0the hundreds of children who attended the Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) annual kindergarten registration and orientation event April 25 at elementary schools across Virginia Beach.<\/p>\n

While parents completed paperwork for student enrollment, the rising kindergartners visited classrooms, enjoyed snacks and \u2013 everyone\u2019s favorite \u2013 rode a school bus.<\/p>\n

One child at Rosemont Forest Elementary expected her favorite part of kindergarten to be \u201call my new friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Food was the highlight of the morning for a rising kindergartner at Diamond Springs Elementary who said the snack he was having was the best cookie ever.<\/p>\n

School personnel and parents at the registration event hope the new students will have the best 13 years ever, graduating in the year 2030.<\/p>\n

\u201cClass of 2030,\u201d remarked one parent at Three Oaks Elementary. \u201cWow! I can\u2019t believe it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Believe it. The members of the Class of 2030 are here and they are ready for kindergarten.<\/p>\n
