As a result, nearly one-third of our students are military-connected and they face unique challenges such as transitions from one area to another or experiencing day to day life as a parent deploys, sometimes into harm\u2019s way.<\/p>\n<p>Kaitlin Duriga understands this all too well. The Princess Anne Middle School seventh-grader is the daughter of a Navy Rescue Diver who has been deployed several times. Following the tragic death of friend\u2019s father overseas, Kaitlin discovered a recognition program and decided to implement it at her school.
