The Princess Anne High School Library and Media Center\u00a0has a new look this school year, and a new campaign to get more students checking out books. The makeover was organized and implemented by Jennifer Ludford and Courtney Porter, the school’s library media specialists. One wall was painted with chalkboard paint to allow for changing messages throughout the year. To start the year, the front table was used as a display area for students to ” Read Banned Books” – or books that have been banned at different times through history.<\/p>\n

\"Banned<\/a>The area used for PALive\u00a0(the live morning announcements) also got an upgrade, both in terms of technology and visual appeal.<\/p>\n

\"Kevin<\/a>The improvements to the library have seemed to work. The facility coincides with an increase in usage. More than 600 books were checked out in September alone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
