Thanks to her win, Neels was invited to an awards reception where she met Dorothy McAuliffe, the first lady of Virginia. There, the two spent some quality time together talking and McAuliffe invited Neels to come visit the governor\u2019s mansion.<\/p>\n<p>Neels has just one request: Could her whole class come too?<\/p>\n<p>McAuliffe said yes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Pohlmann31.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3959\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Pohlmann31.jpg\" alt=\"Pohlmann3\" width=\"1479\" height=\"980\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Pohlmann31.jpg 1479w, https:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Pohlmann31-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Pohlmann31-1024x679.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.vbcpsblogs.com\/core\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/Pohlmann31-453x300.jpg 453w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1479px) 100vw, 1479px\" \/><\/a>Thanks to Neels, the\u00a0students from Renee Pohlmann&#8217;s class got a private tour of the public areas of the Executive Mansion as well as the upstairs guest rooms.
