Meteorologists from all the local news stations have taken time out of their schedules to visit with classes around the city. Each visitor reviewed weather terminology and aspects of the forecast. Students were also able to ask questions about the weather as well as working in television. See just a few pictures from these visits below.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>
The second-graders at Luxford Elementary recently finished up their science unit on weather. In culmination the second grade teachers invited WAVY News 10 meteorologist Tiffany Savona to talk to the students about her job and how she reports the weather. Luxford Elementary fourth-graders recently hosted meteorologist, Myles Henderson from WTKR-TV. He shared with the students various tools he uses in order to create a weather forecast. Students were given the opportunity to share their knowledge on the types of weather associated with pressure systems.
