Advising the United States President was the goal of a recent activity in Mat Scott\u2019s eighth grade civics classes.\u00a0 Students first researched a particular government department or agency and then studied an issue involving military, environment, economy, or public relations concerns.\u00a0 In a mock Cabinet meeting, they played the part of the government official and reported their recommendation to Gifted Resource Teacher Angelyn Nichols who served as the President.<\/p>\n
