She submitted multiple hearts for acts of kindness shown to her.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>By <\/em><a href=\"mailto:geri.scherck@vbschools.com\"><em>Geri Scherck<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As part of the Great Kindness Challenge, Lynnhaven Elementary school counselor Shanice Williams made an \u201cActs of Kindness\u201d tree.<\/p>\n<p>Staff and students write on a paper heart how someone was kind to them or an act of kindness they witnessed.<\/p>\n<p>The school has a four-house system where all staff and students are sorted into a house. When a staff member told him that he was \u201ccaught\u201d and had a heart, he got the biggest smile on his face. He said, \u201cCan you send a picture to my mom?
