Although, Renaissance&#8217;s art students have already earned much praise this year already.<\/p>\n<p>The Virginia Beach Police Department recently held a mural contest, and posted the entries on its Facebook page for an online voting contest. By tally&#8217;s end, Renaissance Academy and the Friends School were sepearated by just six votes for the winning spot. Event organizers decided to have co-winners and allowed both schools to complete full-size murals for the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art.
