This project was developed out of his strong interest in food waste in schools. Michael believed more scratch meal options can prevent food waste.<\/p>\n<p>Principal Micah DeLoatch and gifted resource teacher Terri Darnell were completely onboard.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t wait!\u201d DeLoatch exclaimed.<\/p>\n<p>Amato and Michael discussed several thoughts on how to carry out the event. Students were surveyed to find out their favorite foods. Students filled out tasting sheets to give additional feedback.
