The Tidewater Striders recently honored two of Cox High School’s track and field coaches.

Physical education teacher and girls cross country and track and field coach Leslie Harrison was recently elected into the Tidewater Striders Hall of Fame. After completing  an extensive racing resume, Harrison was one of three coaches chosen this year, and there is only a total of 12 coaches in the Hall of Fame. Harrison’s induction ceremony is scheduled for Feb. 7, 2015.

Also honored by the Striders was science teacher and boys cross country and track and field coach Roland “Lanny” Doan. Doan is already a member of the Tidewater Striders Hall of Fame, and this year he was selected as this season’s Coach of the Year.
